The 2027 Formula Virtual World Championship is almost here, and after years of championship battles, surprise winners and insane finales, a new season brings another chance for drivers and teams to make their mark on Formula Virtual history.
With the new season approaching, the biggest question is simple: who will emerge on top?
The championship will once again bring together Formula Virtual's best drivers and teams, with every point potentially making the difference when the season reaches its final rounds. Past seasons have shown just how quickly the competitive order can change, and 2027 could be no different.
In terms of drivers, notably the only 2 winners of the 2024 season, Nathaniel Powers & Enzo Domenicalli both have retired ahead of 2027. So Downton & Lamborghini will be scrambling to find replacements for them, Lamborghini shouldn't run into too much trouble finding a driver though as they were definitely a hot seat in 2024, the paddock awaits to see how they'll do, If the past means anything for Downton we would definitely expect to see them up there again aswell. besides that, Porsche were looking extremely strong in testing despite being unable to translate that to season pace, but there were rumors that they were running into finanical troubles, will they be a dark horse in 2027 or will they drop off the grid? no matter what, we can definitely expect dramatic announcements before pre season even!
